![]() Nobody's breakfast is worth that kind of money. So as I stated at the beginning of this review, either people haven't ever had a good breakfast or this place has started buying cheaper quality products to serve because the breakfast was terrible not to mention it cost us almost $40 for two with gratuity. They claim to have homemade biscuits with the Homestead breakfast but what we got are those pre-cooked heat and serve that tasted like dried rubber. I don't usually eat pancakes but they were okay. I inquired about the pancakes of the month that is on the menu and the lady said they weren't doing that any longer. The pepper shaker on the table was full of pepper but wouldn't come out the top so that tells me those things haven't been cleaned in a while. The breakfast potatoes they have that everyone raves about were cold and rock hard and had no flavor. I can almost guarantee you that this bacon was the paper thin microwave kind you get at the grocery store. So since people had raved about how great the bacon was here and that it was nice and thick I paid the extra $4 for 4 more slices with my Lumberjack order. So here is where it goes south for us, they have all different sizes of breakfasts but not matter what breakfast you order you are only going to get two strips of bacon. It was spot on and you could tell it was freshly brewed. The best thing about my meal was the sweet tea. We were seated in a reasonable time even though nobody was at the host stand. We went this morning and since it is Sunday street parking was free so no problem there. That leads me to believe that many have never had a good breakfast. Must be employees or management writing those raving reviews because it's not true at all. So I don't know what to say about this place, especially when it has such great reviews.
